InsaneRide 2021 update
The latest information from the various state health departments regarding the latest Covid outbreak in Victoria has seen the entire state of Victoria declared “high risk”
While at this point in time the state of Tasmania is permitting travellers into the state we cannot be assured this travel advice will not change in the not too distance future.
Adding further to travel complications is the return to home state for riders where 14 days self-isolation is now in place, NSW, QLD & SA & WA (where our riders are based) NSW riders become exempt from isolation upon a negative Covid test, QLD riders must self-isolate regardless of a negative test.
All Victorian base riders must self-isolate upon entry to Tasmania, obviously this is not a realistic option for Vic based riders.
Base on the most recent travel restrictions and the uncertainty surrounding any upcoming restrictions we regrettably must postpone the event that is scheduled to occur on June 5 & 6 2021
Grassroots Enduro Australia and our Tasmanian based partners, Hard Enduro Adventures Tasmania are working to provide and alternative date for the InsaneRide in 2021, we are going to hold off providing refunds at this point in time while a suitable resolution and schedule is determined.
Racing is still on this weekend (5 & 6 June) in Tassie as a hard enduro as originally planned BUT it is no longer acting as round three of the Grassroots Enduro A.H.E.C
The original statement posted and shared is correct but confusion arose as not many read it, or read it all.
The decision to not run this coming weekends race as a part of the series was made due to Victoria going into Lockdown due to covid, this excluded many riders (91) from Victoria from attending, hence a new date for the series will be announced when we can finalise a few things.
If you are flying into Tassie or are prepared to adhere to your states and the state of Tasmania public health orders you can still attend the race this coming weekend.
We will keep you posted with the new schedule for round 3 asap.
For ongoing updates regarding this coming weekend please visit Hard Enduro Adventures Tasmania
For riders that are flying and having bikes transported, at this stage the public health orders do not apply to air travel.
Please contact your bike transport company to check if they are still operating in/out of Vic, If you can get there by air and have a bike to ride you are welcome to attend.
If you can not make it we recommend all riders contact the transport provider/s to obtain a refund/credit
Our sincere apologies for the inconvenience, it’s a situation we’d all prefer not to be dealing with, having the rug pulled out from under our feet at the last minute is far less then ideal.
